I'm spending these final days leading to Christmas baking some of our favorites...pizelles being one of them. I twisted it up this year and did red and white, with the usual dusting of powdered sugar.

I had the pleasure of meeting this adorable, fun, silly, and love-able family last week. The kiddos were TO DIE FOR and they were totally into getting their pictures taken. Mom and Dad we so sweet and welcoming as well... all I can say to sum up the shoot was: it was fabulous!!

Baby Haylee - Albuquerque, NM Custom Newborn Photographer

This little teensy one arrived earlier this month and I could hardly wait to get my hands (and camera) on her!

She has the most fabulous head of black hair, the most gorgeous, glowing Mama ever and a Dada who is already wrapped around her pinkie finger. They welcomed me into their home for a few hours and let me get my squishy newborn fix :)

Changes - Albuqueruque, New Mexico Custom Photography

Yep...you'll be seeing some changes to my blogsite in the coming weeks. Some will be small, some will be big. I'm excited about every single one of them and think that all of you, my wonderful and fabulous clients, will be just as excited as I am. In fact I just KNOW you will! So keep your eyes peeled!

I want to share some new "just for me" shots taken recently. I've been exploring my home, finding inspirations and new materials to shoot. It's been a blast too! Here's some of my macro fun!

Feeling - Albuquerque, NM Custom Children's Photograper

I'm always learning...whether it's photography related or not. My most recent learning lesson? Shooting for me. I don't always have to or need to worry about the technical aspects of each shot taken... especially if it's for me.

I try to do this in my family/children/maternity/newborn/couple sessions too. I've gotta FEEL an image and let it speak to me and my emotions. I try to think about what my clients will feel or think upon seeing their memories captured with a click.

Vigil Family - Albuquerque, NM Custom Family & Child Photographer

This family was beyond fun. They were sweet, funny, easy going and so so genuine. They were up for anything and you could just feel the love between the 4 of them.

This is one of my first shoots with teenagers and man, it was FUN! Way more fun than I had anticipated (which was a lot by the way...). These kiddos were perfect too. Gorgeous, sweet, well-mannered and actually took away some of my own fear of someday having my own teenager or two. I'll be first in line when Mom & Dad decide to host a parenting class and give away their secrets. :)

We took their '55 Chevy truck out and had some football fun. Had I known it was a jersey themed day, I would have shown up in all my Minnesota Viking glory!

You'll recognize 2 of these guys... and now you'll actually get to meet the little one!

Claire is edible. Totally and utterly edible. She has THE BEST laugh, is so easy-going and laid back and is such a love. I cannot believe she is about 8 months now and I'm finally getting my chance to meet her. It couldn't come soon enough.

As usual, I adored my time with this family that is oh-so special to me. Our visits just never last long enough!

Dinkel Family - Albuquerque, NM Custom Family & Children's Photographer

This has GOT to be one of the cutest little families I've ever met. Not only were they cute, but they were so so sweet. It really made my day being able to spend a little time with these guys!

The gorgeous little one was so beyond happy, regardless of how cold it was outside, and man, she sure loved her Mommy and Daddy!

Toddler Tornado - ABQ, New Mexico Lifestyle Photography

I frequently have a hard time explaining to friends and family how FAST my kiddo is at shredding my house. Often times I can't even attempt to clean my house while she's awake, much less tidy anything up. In fact, if she even sees you draw more attention to something, she will as well.

Since I believe pictures often speak louder than words...here's exhibit A. My little fabulously-fast, turbo-speed, house-ransacking, amazingly awe inspiring tornado.

This was one of THE happiest little ones I've ever met... she was more interested in her own tutu (ADORABLE) and her gorgeous red shoes than she was in me. However, I did get to witness how fast she can butt-scoot!

These two took a little "Mommy & Daughter" time to wander with me on one of these freezing fall afternoons. Bella was so cute - a little shy but super silly and has such an amazing smile to boot. Of course her baby doll needed to tag along too!

Here's another set of 3 you'll recognize! My bro, his girl and their poochie whom I'm proud to call my nephew! We recently met up to get them their yearly family portraits. And Mom? Since I know you're reading this... no, this was not an engagement shoot. Sorry to disappoint...and I'm sure when they need one, they know who to call! ;0)

Kristin looks smashing in hot pink, the hawaiian shirt is my brother to a T and Bear...well he did bust out of prison in the past, making him totally "Bad to the Bone". Couldn't be more perfect, right?

I love these guys and am so lucky and thankful to have them in my life!
